A shot of our ferrocement/meshcrete roof, including the barrel vault arch over the living room. The roof is approximately 1.5" of ferrocement and a laminate of several layers of meshcrete (nylon net mesh fabric with hand-troweled cement). The barrel vault is part of our low-tech a/c system, which involves a combination of a thermal chimney, high ceilings, evaporative and convective cooling elements.
